Hi what year is it? There was a recent thread about this, but firstly check that all the leads are tight, and contacts clean.

The other thread is here, take a look as there are some pics at post #4 showing the spade connector (starter trigger wire in the pic) which in my case was loose:
Starting/turn over issues - advice and guidance sought

Side note - I have a spare brand new starter motor I bought but didn't need lol, if it fits yours happy to sell it to you for a discount :)
Thanks for the offer Ill let you know how II get on. I have a problem with the rear wheel The tyre is flat and the wheel nots have been put on by a Gorilla Ive noticed, that on two of the nuts there are chrome caps These seem to be a loose fit but I cant remove them Should they come off,to get to the nut also is it a 17mm I think the tyre has a puncture so it has to come off Len
PS how much do you want for the starter

Hi the wheel nut caps are always a bit loose but are only removable on the locking nuts. They are terrible things, so change them for solids when you get the chance. (they are available on eBay) Good luck. D4KGP.

A D4KGP says the std nuts are crap, if you check the wheel brace bag you may have what looks like a piece of plastic tube this is to remove the locking nut cover, if it's missing improvise!!. The nuts are 17mm but if any of the caps are missing you will need a smaller socket to fit.
Remember they are called quick fit fitters cos it takes them secs to do the nut up, but you mins, hours or days to undo.

Other tyre and exhaust’ centres are available, but most seem to share similar working practices 😂😂👍

I hope that you've ordered the solid type nut sold on ebay by: pe16carparts 08. Not more with the caps. Regards. D4KGP.

Hi, yes you can buy new elasticated straps on eBay.
[Ive ordered the straps,to cure the sticking roof and with the help of friends managed to push the car into my garage I can now look,to see why the starter doesn`t work However the first job is to remove dozens of LED lights in strips They are round the windscreen all round the parcel shelf and down each side of the centre console Or is this the way MG Fs should be decorated How anyone could drive with dozens of LEDs alight fails me .Just hope then didnt blink as well Sorry for the blurred photo the joy of getting these light free with the car overtook me Len
