Does everyone know that on 28 days later some of the guys have got inside Longbridge in the last couple of weeks.

Many new pics some very sad of demolition work in progress but other stuff showing production lines still ready to restart. Some NAC information too.

It's also sad to see test work half complete. I guess some of the staff stopped work probably expecting to pick things up again a week or so, after a deal was worked out to save Rover.

Seems to be several reports, all worth a look if like me, you never had the chance to go around the place.

The silver TF, at first look I thought it was the hybrid MIRA car but I seem to recall the slats in the bumper were sealed as the radiator air flow was directed up and out through the vent in the bonnet, but what about the extended wheel arches and bumper, was this something planned pre factory closure or a sport and racing project ?

Yea, what is that big hole in the bonnet all about? It looks like a production car, or a very well executed prototype. Could be a hybrid.

And all those bodys shells! Hundreds of them... Now are they going to be scrapped, or used again? NAC don't want them in China, or they would be gone by now. And they are held in a warm dry atmosphere, not dumped outside somewhere to rot...

The factory tour, didn't take you anywhere near the paint plant, or anything that those pictures displayed, sadly :( I guess it is because of the need to keep everything clean and dust free.

It used to start with the Body in White facility making the bodyshells, before going back across the road to the main site, showing the end part of production.

The place is a lot more compact now so they could show you a lot more in the available time. Charge say 10-15 quid a pop with 20pax and two tours each day and they could have a nice little side earner, especially if they use assembly staff on a rotating shift for the guides. My local brewery does tours like this (not that I've done one yet).
