Hi people.
The boot handle on my 75 (2000, conn, 2.5 petrol) is loose. When I looked from inside of the boot lid, it seems like 2 of 4 screws are gone. Tried to replace the missing screws but could not find any that would fit. The existing screws looks like they are preattached to the handle (?) but Im not sure as it's hard to see. Do you think i need to replace the whole handle? It seems silly, but i just don't know how to attach the old one. Maybe this is this just me not being technical enough? If anyone could help me out here it would be great.

Have a look at this exploded diagram - its from a Russian site translated but not bad

From this I would guess that the screws are attached to the handle and need four nuts (2 kinds 2 of each) .

The nuts are available but I dont think the handle is any more apart from scrap dealers. If you can best course of action may be to remove handle, fix further screws and replace missing nuts.

Hope this helps

Edit. Just found that the handle is available but will cost something like £63 or £83 + VAT depending on which one you need.

Oh, I see. I will try to remove the handle first and then find screws and nuts of the proper dimension. Thanks for the advice and explanation, David. :)

Well, I'm gonna try to replace the screws and nuts before I take the expensive route and order the handle. Good link, btw. I was actually looking for a spare part dealer with online service that would ship to Sweden. Thanks again.
