Probably best looking for one of the newer 2009+ TF's then. Few of them kicking about with low low mileage in garages for about £6k

There are some good cars out there, finding them is them tricky bit!
If money is not a problem, try Church Square Auto's or Trophy cars. They both have nice cars available, but are at the top of the price range.
If you don't mind a bit of sorting out, there are some really good cars at bargain prices available with Head Gasket Problems, which are not, as some will say, the end of the world. Any of the mobile MGF specialists will sort a HGF for £400 or so and if the rest of the car is A1, you will have a great car.
It all depends on funds and mindset.

I was talking to a new member of our local club yesterday who has a very nice 2003 TF. It is in superb condition and has only done just over 20,000 miles. He had it from Trophy Cars and said he has been 100% happy with it.
It wasn't a proper concourse car though , as it has stainless steel underfloor pipes on it and he has fitted MGF leather seats that he has changed from cream to grey to match the rest of the interior.
You would be hard pushed to find a better example of a TF though.

I agree that changing anything from original will render the car 'Non Concourse' however, certain changes, SS coolant pipes, TT Mk7, Bilstein shocks and possibly heated glass rear screen are items that should have been on the car from new, so I think they are acceptable, welcome even, upgrades.

What do you plan to do with this car?

If you buy one in concours condition all (or I guess none) of the work may have been done already.

Why not buy a very good condition one and spend the money bringing up to CC condition? That might give you some enjoyment as well.

Just a thought.

A little over priced, but they manage to get their hands on some very nice cars.

Can i ask how much are you prepared to pay?
