Try partexchange with a German trader.
Holland is to difficult because off the totally different tax system.
Have a look below at what I found on mobile.de, because this car is RHD its difficult for him to sell and you have the same problem.
Good luck.

It's not only the paperwork of re-registering a car abroad (let alone any tax!), the biggest problem is paying for new headlamps and getting them fitted...would cost several hundred quid, I should think...

I read in Honest John recently that there are two UK-based dealers who specialise in LHD cars and might be interested. Can't remember their names offhand, but you could search his site for them...

Good luck!

Good luck with the sale. I've no idea how much cars are worth in france but 6500 is more than its worth here. I'd try 5999 and consider offers.

There are a few LHD specialists in the UK - The Left Hand Drive place in Basingstoke and Midland LHD in Lichfield to name but two. A Google search will throw up a few.

You might also like to try Ebay - there are quite a few people looking on there for LHD cars to take overseas and I did pretty well selling my LHD 414 and Grand Voyager that way.

It's worth remembering that used car prices on the continent tend to be higher than in the UK - therefore continental buyers see the UK as a good place to pick up a car. As a result, the market for used LHD cars here is surprisingly good - they often sell for more money than the more common RHD equivalent.

right im packing my bags and im off to fetch it -

1 - the french dont deserve shutch a fine car

2 - Its the only 3.0 litre ZS ever made (me thinks they got it wrong)

Are the headlights etc set up for uk use or is it an unmolested import (i knoiw it was made here) ? If it is european spec then selling abroad would possible be best shot , is there a german ebay for example ?

don't forget, LHD or not, if it's registered then the headlights have to be appropriate to that country.

If it's a UK-reg car the headlights must dip to the left.

If it's German-reg (or, I imagine, any country which drives on the right) the headlights must dip to the right.

The headlights are pretty pricey - measured in three figures new. I've only ever met two people who did the conversion and they both replaced the lights themselves, so saved a considerable labour bill...

ShaunD was one bloke who will do the conversion (thinking about it, not sure he's re-registered the car yet). He has gone to live in Sweden and bought a new LHD Streetwise cheaply here...though what you want to hear is that you get top dollar here!
