Cheers mate... Yeah, this was last May - she was discharged in Oct, is doing well but remains unable to balance on her own and has some other long term issues. It's a sizable journey ahead for her I think, and she's getting frustrated now...

I've chucked the job and am her fulltime and sole carer now - plus some voluntary work for the Stroke Association, lectures at the QEH Stroke Unit for the Practice Development staff, been on Radio Norfolk a while back and doing some other rehab research-related stuff. All unpaid but ultimately satisfying - only thing I can't do is get the missus up and about as soon as she'd like, can't force these things, sadly.

Later this year, we will be holding an area meet in Kings Lynn.

Anybody who is local, know of a decent place to hold a meet?

Obviously not looking at McDonalds carpark, more like a decent restaurant, with a fair sized car park that is easy to find for those of us not local.

We arrive at the hungry horse, have a natter for a bit, go inside for some lunch, come outside afterwards and chat more.

Some of us haven't left till gone 9pm sometimes!!!

I'll have a think, its a pretty compact town (which I try to avoid) and I dont know it too well, but its good you're looking to hold one further east.

I've had a thought of a venue, but can't think of the name of it.

As you follow the A149 towards hunstanton, you go over the roundabout for the hospital, and come to another roundabout. It has a restaurant on one side, and a strawberry pick you own farm on the other.

Would anyone be able to find out the restaurant name, or possibly have a chat to them, about us to come over sometime for a meet.
