well i guess i knew this day was coming sooner or later and now it has. I got a strange smell of antifreeze from the exhaust :eek: a few nights ago as my wife put the car in the garage and sure enough i am now in need of a new head gasket.

So having not been here very long I'm depending on you guys to tell me who can be trusted to do a good job without getting the arm in.

If your looking for some where local i always take my car to Giles Brothers near the multi story in lynn 01553 772376 ! Find them really good never over charged me and nothing seems to be to much trouble !

Well just a little update on the head gasket change. I contacted Russell - 'the ebay guy' - and he has been superb. He's coming to my nice warm (carpeted lol) garage and will fix it here without me taking the MG out and making the problem any worse, and he's thrown in the 10% discount because a) my wife begged him, because it was only 1 day beyond his 'end of january' offer b) I said I would rave on and on about him on the forum here ! He's going to replace / fix everything, as well as driving here too for £465 which I think is superb.
Thanks for the heads up on this guy. Sounds like he will do a superb job. :trophy:

Just wondering if any1 from here lives in or around the kings lynn area ?!?!? would be cool to find out if ne1 else around these parts has a liking 4 mg !!!!

MG Car Club Lincolnshire Centre (www.mgcclincolnshire.co.uk) runs a meet at The Woolpack, Terrington St John every third Thrusday of the month.
I've a Rover 75 as well as an MGB and an MGF.
