I want one!!!!!!!!!

It looks like it eats 911s for breakfast
Just more jag bs they will never build - pity :(
It may be previewing the styling of the new small(er) Jag sports car thats been said is under development
Jag have styled a car that looks like the lovechild of an XJ220 and a mk1 Lotus Elise and is quite often the case, beautiful parents make beautiful babies! Jag's recent concepts have proved to be excellent indicators of what's to come so I wouldn't be too dismissive of this car yet.
I'm not so sure that something like this will never be made. Tata seem to want to push Jaguar forward and seem to be spending a lot on new models.
Lets hope the leave the old Mk2 Rover 200 Rear Lights off this one lol !!!
Oh great, I can't have sex for a few hours now :bored:
Stick the Smoked 'Lexus' Styles ones on, would look much better !!!
What made me smile was the first look we've had so far of the amazing micro-gas turbines from Bladon Jets installed in a Jag, and in true Dan Dare style nacelles, under the glass of the rear hatch...

:URGOD:

Pickie here from Autocar
Reading between the lines I think Jag will basically replace the XK with this car, except that they will drop the Turbines for a small internal combustion engine to charge up the batteries. I then would expect this car to take on the Audi R8. Jag did say the car could take a small IC engine and that they could production this car within 4-5 years....
gas turbines for the range extender instead of a piston engine makes quite a bit of sense.

a lot lighter
potentially simpler
sooo much cooler

Turbine~Electric. A far better proposition than Battery-Electric is ever likely to be.

The powertrain concept could be the way to the future .... literally.

Mechanical Gas turbine cars are nothing new. I remember seeing pictures of Rover's JET 1 when I was a small boy. Even as long ago as the 1960s, I clearly remember the BRM Gas Turbine car driven at Le Mans by Graham Hill ( Damon's Dad ) ... I was amazed to see this car in action at speed whispering by ... eerie ...

Turbine~ Electric could be the best way to go in future.

All power to the Big Cat Outfit's endeavour ~ the car certainly looks the part ~ and if such a power train configuration can be produced for "Daily driver" type cars reliably and economically, I for one would welcome them ....
.. .
turbine electric - very exciting.
I like the direction jag are going in.

The impression I get from Jaguar is that the Turbines will take time to integrate into a car (maybe as long as 10 years), but that they could maker a series hybrid of the same car using an IC engine within 4-5 years.
