I recently heard about cloaking images behind a transparent gif file. putting a transparent GIF image the same size over the top. When users right-click the image to save it, they will save the uppermost image, which is the transparent GIF, and end up with nothing.
Would come in handy if you don't want any pics you've uploaded somewhere or here on mg-rover.org to be stolen,
but how do you go about it.

I'm not sure thats possible as the image is still a flat file.

However, when displaying images on web sites, you could easily use CSS to overlay a transparent gif and as you say, people right clicking will save just the transparent one.

However, viewing the source code does of course still reveal the true location of the image, and if someone is determined enough, they only have to press printscrn and crop it

True and very easily steal the original image, I'll look into it on google.
