Engine rebuild??? What happened?
It had a siezed gudgeon pin which caused piston slap had to have 4 new pistons/liners and shells
Your signature doesn't give the impression that you are in love with your car again - might be an idea to change it!
lol wish i was in love with mine still, having just had the air con fixed (for the third time) i found i've got a split ABS ring that's gonna need sorting. Can't wait till i can buy something foreign.
Still in love with my ZS180 after 3 years, it is just I fancy having a go with her big sister :ss: ,I have to let the ZS go when I get the ZT next week :hyper:

Whats stopping you?
Finance on this heap of crap means it's worth absolutely no where near what i owe on it. In fact it's worth a shed load more to me as burnt out metal heap on some abandoned road than it is on my drive.
Sorry mate. I think they're great and all manufacturers have their rough ones. Will MGR do anything about an exchange?

Somebody in work had 52 Laguna and it was awful about 115 faults.
Dunno, to be fair i wouldn't buy another MGR for a while anyway. Don't get me wrong, i don't hate ym car, it's just been sufficient hassle over the last year that if i could get something else i probably would. Without the faults it's a nice car but it's still miles behind it's competition in everything except handling.
Part of the reason i'd like a change isn't even the cars fault, or MGRs, having had a car that handles for the last year it's made me realise that although fun the extra firm ride that comes with it can be annoying. So i reckon my next car will be more about comfort, and probably within a year i'll miss the fun of sporty suspension and want a stiffer car again, etc.

Thing is it's never had anything major wrong with it, nothing that's kept it off the road and it's only ever had to be in the dealers durring a day, but it has been at the dealers on average once every month for little things and those have just become a bit annoying now. I'm just pi55ed today cos i thought everything was fine again and then i found the split ABS ring.

Its a shame you feel like that mine is now 3 yrs old with no major mechanical faults and has done 107600 miles and still sounds great goes like stink handles like fcuk and looks great :cloud9: I am really happy with it and its made a few admirers as well my father inlaw has just sold his micra had it from new now 2yrs old 3000 on the clock and had two new batteries a new wing tail gate lock cos the boot flew open while driving (we once lost the inside panel to the tailgate while doing 50 at 3 in the morning and nearly caused an accident) makes me feel proud to have such a good british car.

My 45 is miles ahead of the competition, that's why I've got it. It doesn't have any faults either. It's as easy to buy another car and get unlucky. See the JD Power thread.
sorry but that's rubbish, no 45/ZS is anywhere near the competition in terms of toys, modern looks, engines etc etc.

if they were there'd be a lot more being sold.
G
The engines are as good if not better than the competition and sales of the 45/ZS have risng 15% compared to this time last year
lol crap sales raising 15% just results in slightly less crap sales.

I'm not having an argument with anyone cos to be perfectly honest i couldn't care less but you're sadly deluded if you honestly believe that any 25/ZR or 45/ZS is on a par with it's competition.

And the K series is really past it's best now, everyone knows this. It was a great engine and is still a great performer but it's harsh, noisey and un-refined in comparision to newer engines.
