I have a rover 216i Cabriolet, and think the hydraulic roof pump needs topping up, the roof is very slow to move and there a sound from the pump that sounds like air in the system. Once its topped up with hydraulic oil does it need to be bled of air, if so how do you do that

Many Thanks

Bleeding roof!

Hi,
Just following on from this thread, I have similar problem. The roof fluid is on Min and i need to add some and then bleed.

A) what fluid can I use
B) should the level be checked with roof open or closed.
C) how do I bleed it.

Roof currently works, but slow and noisy.
Is there a good manual on CD to buy that covers this and other cabriolet stuff, ebay? which is the best one ?

Thanks
Regards
Steve
