Sounds promising..although my dealer has moved my delivery from end of june to end of august..unless theyre being cautious.

Hi I'm new to this forum
A little bit of my background on my dealings with MG
I ordered a new MG HS Excite Auto in blue early July 2021 and was told delivery would be October 2021 that became November then December now can not get any updates have been told chip shortage then MG are changing the blue and that would be a few weeks hold up until colour update as of 11th January still no delivery date after 7 months, I have found the names of 3 ships MG have used to deliver to UK in the past and have been looking on a ship tracker application but none are near or on way to UK
Can I ask if anyone else is having delivery problems or have heard any news on deliveries from there dealer or any information on ships or shipping routes, it would be nice to find out any information as I'm beginning to forget what a MG HS looks like

Booked my MG HS in Aug 2021 with Frasers Edinburgh, which has now been bought by MacKlin Motors. Followed up with both MG Frasers and Macklin and Frasers confirmed me today that I should have car by June end. Not sure how much truth is in it

Thats what i was promised..now moved to August..good luck buddy.
Macklin also said end June so let's hope. I ordered my new MG HS in November 2021. I have been told today that it should be here for end of June 22. It is the HS Exclusive, Petrol in Dynamic Red with option of Red/Black interior. Does anyone want to buy it as I have just bought another car as got fed up of waiting!
Such a tempting offer..that someone will take up i think..sadly i cannot as i am renting via motability..so not my choosing..plus i have on order an HS excite..with no panoramic roof.I ordered my new MG HS in November 2021. It’s nice to hear from others in the same predicament and know you’re not alone. I ordered 2 MGs! a HS in mid December 2021 and my wife ordered a ZS end of December. Original date end of march for both. Both with Arnold Clark, they’ve not kept us up to date and we have to chase it. Date keeps being pushed back.
Most recent call a few days ago the dealer insisted a batch of HSs including mine are coming mid July but the ZS is pushed till September. Hard to know what to believe now as all he had was an estimated delivery date which he insisted would happen but that’s clearly not very reliable any more… would love to cancel and go elsewhere but the we bought both cars with the mg affinity deal and there’s really no SUVs any where near this price point with the discounts.
Baby due in august and we’re desperate to have a bigger car for then so just have to keep the fingers crossed. just hoping it doesn’t take a full year like someone above!

From 1st September 2020, The Road Vehicles (Approval) Regulations 2020 require all vechicles to be fitted with DAB radios (if they have a radio fitted). It is in UK law passed by both the Houses of Commons and Lords. So I suggest you do some research before calling it nonsense.Where did you hear about this nonsense
It is not a legal requirement to fit DAB
radio..in fact..i would rather not have DAB.

I ordered my MG HS Excite Auto in black pearl the end of Febuary 2022 through Motability been ringing up the dealer nearly every week since to try and get an update but my rep won't give me a date I spoke to a different rep a couple of weeks ago and he told me that i've got an ETD of 3rd September but that is subject to change (could be earlier or later). the only good thing about that is if it does arrive on 3rd Sept it will be on a new 72 plate!

As they COULDN'T give a date for delivery we went for that, big mistake!
I've had near on 30 cars during my driving life, I've even had a white car, which polished up great and didn't seem to get really dirty, but black !
The last month, up here in Lincolnshire, there seems a lot of very fine dust, and during the night when the car condensate the dust gets blown and in the morning, you'd think you've been driving on the beach.
Apart from that, it's a great ride, comfortable, spacious, and for the price well finished off, even down to the twin stainless exhausts, if you like chrome, it's quite blingy, they couldn't have made the badges any bigger.
But I hope you are happy when you take delivery !!

My order was an excite model..without the fancy roof.i felt it was unwarranted
But..also the deposit was £1000 lower
However if they offered the whole shabang for the same price..who wouldnt take it..lol.b
It may seem I'm moaning, but I do like the car it's just the little things that spoil it, MG have got to pull their finger out with all the electrical gremlins. for instance, when you unlock the car with either the door button or the key fob, the door mirrors stay in, once in the car I have to press the mirror control to get them to open out.
Another thing, when we stop the Mrs when opening her passengers door, she has to pull her handle twice, first to unlock then again to open the door.
Is this normal on every members cars, or just unique to my car? can some member come back to me with that one.

Yes..i agree..i have read about lots of little niggles like you mention..so keep watching the reviews and maybe can find some answers..good luck.Sorry I have put this post in the wrong section !!
