If it was mine, I'd take it to a local bodyshop and ask them to quote it first, infact, go to a couple. I wouldn't try spraying it with rattle cans, you'll never get a perfect match especially if it's on the side of the car.
If its not hugely massive and not down to the bare metal then i would just leave as it. maybe try a couple of coats of megs scratch or swirlx as that has some heavy fillers that would disguise it a bit and see if that helps.
imo i wud just keep working in swirlx and srp until it fades as much as possible then slap on a few coats of gold class wax to protect it.
