I think Neil would possibly put in a claim for being the longest standing F/TF owner as I think he's had Red 19 since new (13 years?). I don't know if anyone can beat that (no doubt someone will come along that can :lol

1st MGB GT in 1970 till 73 then a long wait till 2002 98 F VVC, then F 1.8mpi, another VVC, then yet another VVC, a 72 Midget and a 02 TF 135. Still have the Midget and the 98 VVC.

 

My current two MGs make 10 since 1974 although not all consecutive:

• MG Midget K reg (1275cc)
• MG Midget R reg (1500cc)
• MGB GT H reg (1969 year)
• MGB GT M reg
• MGB Roadster R reg
• MGF S reg (from new)
• MGF Steptronic Y reg
• MGF Trophy 51 reg (still got it)
• MGB Roadster M reg
• MGZT-T 190 51 reg (just got it)

Every car was absolutely great fun and a joy to own. I wish I'd had the means to keep them all:sad2:. The first Midget went to fund an engagement ring and the second becasue the wife couldn't get behind the wheel pregnant!

Tha tsecond Midget was a white car with red and blue chevrons across the bonnet, running down the sides and across the boot. Painted for the 1977 Glasgow Motor Show. I can't find any pictures of it now :sad2:

My first - and although I'll keep it until it falls apart, it won't be my last as I have every intention of having an MGA Twin Cam before I get that much older.

far too many non-MGs in the family gap and a string of approx 15 motorbikes from before the B up to today.

 

The TF is My first MG. I bought it to sell it on... That was 18 months ago and I have no intention of selling it.

When my old Golf dies I'll be looking at a ZT as a daily driver.

 

Oooh you should have done an option for Rovers as well Mike! As this is my first MG but I previously owned a lil R200. I like to think I'm still keeping it in the family though ... it's just an upgrade... like you would your mobile! :bgrin:

 

Rover is a dog's name - not a car, so may not count.

I guess when I started driving, Rovers were big, comfortable establishment cars and no self respecting MG driver would consider one ...

imo the ZT is, overall, the best car MGR ever built

 

This is my first (MGTF 135) and I absolutely love it!

I am a 'car tart' and usually swap my car every year (but I just can't see it happening this time - unless it's for another MG).

 

I love my R25 for what it is....a sensible, cheap to run little runabout.
I used to own a R400 (newer shape) and that was a nice car too. I just love MGR designs
