basically i have a rover 200, 98, and i want to mesh the front grille, the top grille. Is it part of the bumper?cos im giong to replace the bumper soon, cos its damaged, if it isnt part of the bumper, then how the hell do i take it out and mesh it!!!! also if i do manage to take it out, theres all these plastic bits in it, how do i remove that???:( please help!!!!!!!!!!!!! many thanks

If you search, there are many posts about doing this...
But as a quick idea...

The grille can be removed from the bumper. (some say take bumper off, others say squeeze your hands behind!)

Once its off, its in 2sections. The chrome section, and the plastic section.
These unscrew from each other.
The plastic section holds the 'fins'...or plastic bits as you say:)
You simply cut these out, pliers, snap em, hacksaw them, whatver...then smooth down the rough edges if you can, then cut some mesh, fit the mesh inbetween plastic part and chrome part.

Thats about it:)
