:err:
Hi all,
Just a quick intro.. Having been the proud owner of a Smart Roadster for the past 2 years, i reluctantly traded my pocket rocket in as it had leaked constantly. I have battled with Smart and my car had several thousand pounds worth of repairs as it was still under warranty. Anyway i ended up with a Peugeot 206 but it just isn't me! After looking at several Smart Roadsters i have decided that they all must suffer the same fault as they were all wet so i decided to look for a totally different car. Yep, today i found an MG TF 135. It looks the dogs but after reading some of the faults they suffer i am really undecided at this point. It has extremely high mileage for a 2004 plate but has a fsh and 1 company owner. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

CL or CDL = Central Door Locking.

At that mileage, I would reckon it is probably in fairly good condition - most of the wearing components in the suspension should already have been replaced ;) Also it will have done motorway miles (the best kind for an engine) So is likely to be in good shape.

Also with that mileage if the head gasket is original and still in tact, it's a fair bet it will be fine for years.

But, Caveat Emptor, get an AA/RAC inspection done on it and haggle. It's a high miler. It's worth mentioning that because it can knock the price down a bit.

Warranty

The warranty covers any major mechanical breakdown, not brake pads or other general wear and tear components though he did say that the brakes etc would be inspected and changed if needs be before i take it.
