So here is what happened.

I accidently left my lights on and when I came back to my car the batterry was flat.

I got a friend to give me a jump but I cannot start the engine as the car beeps telling me to press the unlock buton on the fob.

I press the buttons on the fob but it has no effect at all.

So now I have a car sitting in a Morrisions car park where I work which I cannot start.

I do not have the EKA code and to not know how to get it.

What are people suggestions, should I just cut my loses and phone the AA out.

I have a Rover 220 SD Turbo 5 Door N reg.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The beeping is your immobilser. It needs to be resync'd with your fob. Unlock the car with key then press the lock button 5 times and that should do it.

If the above has'nt worked check all fuses. The tailgate wiring chafes & shorts together blowing a fuse which causes this problem ( no ignition feed to the alarm ecu)
