hi every 1 . like the site just found it the other week. im the proud owner of a rover 45 1.8 with all the toys . my wife has recently crashed in to a high kerb and split the sump, now the engine has seized, although she switched the car off straight away.me and a friend are about to repair the car with an engine over hall. we have stripped off the sump and checked the big end shells for damage , 2 of the shells were slightly scored but no heat marks, and the crank shaft was fine. im just slighly worried about the liners moving as weve never done this kind of engine before . i would be gratefull for any advice.:scotland:
