Hi
I was told that the resistor pack is behind the gloves compartment. do I need to take the compartment out? and how does the resistor look like?

That's it,
The resistor pack is the entire black rectangle that the wire plugs into.
It's basically 3 coils on the underside of that black plate.
Just disconnect the plug and there's 2 screws and the whole lot comes out.

Yep, you have to remove the glovebox. Should take about 10-20 minutes to change the resister pack and refit the glovebox. The resister pack is known for blowing, and their not cheap to replace. I was quoted 35euro+vat.

My resister blew one of it's coils, heater fan was only working on setting 2,3 & 4. I went to the scrappy, but they all looked damaged.

My suggestion, if you get one from the scrappy, check to see if it works first.

I have been to me local scrap! and a got one for £ 3, and its working ;)

So, nae mere fog!

hmm to be fair.... i im agine its worthwhile getting new one... old ones are surely new the end of their life anyways... and theres so many people with this problem i expect that there is a known shelf life on them.
