hi,
have a problem ov witch it cud b a number off faults. i have just bought i rover 600. witch iis a lovely car to drive, but at nite i didnt reckon much to the brightness of the head lights.

went to the car spares place called bullseye(doncaster), got 2 (eagle) 100watts H1 bulds. fitted um, worked smashing! proper bright!!

3 days later was setting off from work at 7pm, no head lights!!!

both bulbs had blown!! replaced um with the normal 55/60 watt bulbs!

i now have tried 3 times get sum extra watts out of my headlights, they just keep blowing everytime i put 100 watts in!!!

ne1 get ne suggestions??

I work for a company that sells and fits light bulbs. I'm afraid that IMO you will not be able to upgrade to 100watt as your wiring will not take it. There is still a way to upgrade.

Bulbs are available that are called "Super Brilliance" and are up to 50% brighter than standard but do not increase the power rating. Your local car spares shop will have them. I have fitted them to my ZS and have noticed a massive difference :O
