Hey,
I'm in the process of changing my 220 Turbo head gasket, and thought it'd be a great oppertunity to replace all the seals and gaskets in the top.
I have stripped the head down in preperation for a skim, and am trying to remove the valve stem oil seals. These are top hat type things that sit on the top ends of the valve guides. For the life of me I can't get the Fxxkers off..
Has anyone got any ideas, hints, tips or knows if there is a special tool that I need???
Thanks in advance.

They tend to get bonded on by the heat and pressure of the springs.
Using a long flat-blade screwdriver and hammer, reach in from a void in the casting and give them a light tap at the bottom of the vertical bit. This will break the bond and you can then take them out.
Don't try and do this down the tappet holes as you'll damage the bores.
