C3 is still in production, it has only just come out recently, DS3 is like a prestige/stylish C3.
Citroen are 10th most relible car make now according to reliability index. Fiat are 11th.yeh but unfortunately it a citroen with citreon build quality.
A bit like an Alfa really you know you want want one but its really a ****ty Fiat underneath.
My Father has owned a few not and had any problems whatsoever, I was quite impressed when I got in his new C2.yeh but unfortunately it a citroen with citreon build quality.

Why launch under a different brand ?Thing is it's a Citroen. What I don't get with the DS range is why they didn't use another brand. I mean BMW are already going to launch a BMW branded car into this sector and they will upgrade the interiors on future MINI's so they look more grown up and premium. And then I think it will be curtains for the Citroen C3, I mean DS thingy.
Top spec minis are disturbingly expensive. Go on autotrader... if you dare. Why launch under a different brand ?
Makes no sense.
BMW may launch a car into the same sector and I bet it will still be 30K for a half decent spec one.
I dont believe that. My Grandad, after having a 2003 Citroen Saxo for a few years which diddnt cause too many problems (apart from 2 clutches admittedly) got a practicly new C3 earlyer this year (think it was an 09 plate), after starting problems, engine management light coming on and misfiring, and an alternator failure he refused to keep the car and ended up getting his money back and getting an 08 plate Fiesta instead - hasnt given one problem.Citroen are 10th most relible car make now according to reliability index. Fiat are 11th.
Its the same with any modern car though really. They all seem to be prone to electrical gremlins, i dont think its a uniquely Citroen problem.I dont believe that. Shame really as I prefer the new C3 over the Fiesta he has now, infact at the start of the year I was looking at a new C3 on finance myself, but the problems my grandads had were not acceptable - hence why he diddnt accept it.
I know there not ALL like this - but trust me all these modern Citroens etc. with all these electrics and gizmos, electric handbrakes and computers etc. etc. will give trouble when the car gets a few years old. And when they do get problems, they deffinatly wont be cheap.

But, does that really mean anything? Where did these people get the information from to decide how reliable cars are?
Its information compiled by warranty direct. They supply aftermarket warrantys. So they know exactly what breaks on what car, how often, how long it takes to fix, how long there off the road etc. But, does that really mean anything? Im not saying its perfect, i mean look where the MG ZS is... and by all accounts from the guys on here there pretty damn solid. But if you look at the top ten its all the usual suspects. But they say a Subaru Impreza Turbo is pretty much the most unreliable car you can buy, and that the Rover Streetwise is the 41st and Rover 45 42nd most reliable cars :S.
