Hi:
The gearbox on my '93 Rover 820 TI is gone - again. I have been offered a gearbox from a MG-F with 60k km on the clock. Can anyone tell me if it will fit to my Rover without problems? Is it - generally - a good gearbox? What box are the best to my Rover?

Not suitable. The K series uses a different bell housing to the T series.

The ratio's will also be different and won't have the torsen diff. You really need another T series gearbox.

Ive got a PG1 S4EM 'box off a freelander. Obviously this was originally mated to a k-series. Will this not fit my T series??

It looks identical and i was just about to swap as my diff seals are leaking after 10 years of driving.

I didnt know about the different bell housings?? The powertrain website simply tells you thats its modular and has 21 different variations.

Any ideas?? or shall i buy a diff seal kit??
