Changed the gear knob today, I love the design of the original but it's bloody freezing in winter, so come spring it may be a case of hard top off (it's not on yet) old gear knob on.
I also changed the very tatty handbrake gaiter for a new one, none of the threads I looked at mentioned that the grip has two flats at the back under the flaps so you can put an adjustable/grips on it without damaging the handle. I also discovered it was only glued in one place about 1cm square on the top at the very back, I think this could have been cut by tapping a slim sharp edge in from the back. These findings might of course only apply to a year/trim model similar to mine.
