Good day.

As anyone here fitted TRW front shock absorbers to a Rover 75?
I bought a pair and my mechanic says they don't seem to fit, even though they are clearly stated to be for this car.

Thank you.

He says that the top part of the TRW are a bit thiner than the ones he took off;
plus something that I did not quite understand about the angle to fit the bar.
I'm not able to see the photos of the forum you sent, even though I've registered.
Thank you for replying.

Hello @luisperes ! As @gnu stated I'd them fitted 2 years ago and my mechanic did it. But I think he told me that the job wasn't fully straightforward with the front ones regarding the bolting in the upper part below the bonnet. I'm sorry I can't remind the details but it wasn't at all an obstacle for him. Nonetheless I can confirm they are intended to be fitted on our cars.

I should have add I'm very satisfied with the TRW ones for they make the drive so comfy even on uneven roads and very reliable as well as we are told.
@luisperes keep us posted how it's turning for you, whether it was fixed or you swapped for another brand and which. Thanks.
