you can by them though from maxmymotor on ebay, at least you can buy the coloured grill...

not so sure about the tailgate...it can be DIY'd though if you have time and a bit of know how...the grill isnt a particularly challenging task either if done properly.

 

I'm making the tailgate handle if you want one.

 

whats the process for doing it dan? take the badge out, filler up the hole, sand paper + primer etc same as with the grill?

 

Little trickier than you may think tbh, the way i did my ZR handle was ......

Remove badge, cut off the badge recess, start sanding it all down, when pretty much smooth you need to fibre glass the 2 holes from underneath, a few light skimmings of filler and a final sanding down.

Its the sanding down thats a pain in the arse.

If I got hold of a spare I'd possibly think about it. But only when if/when I do my front grill, if I removed the front Rover badge (which I probably will) then I'd do the back. WOuldnt make sense having one badge really..since there the only badges left on my car now

 

Not sure if i like the back de-badged, the front is definatly growing on me tho, just need to get a spare grille so i can do it properly and not have to rush mine when i need teh car.

 

Thats how I'm planning to do mine. I definitely want it colour coded and I definitely want to remove the badge. Then I want some nice fine mesh!

But then after I've removed the front badge I will have said problem of having just the one rover badge on the rear.....

 

Dont put fly squat mesh in the front grill ffs!! It looks awfull, zr style stuff looks loads better.

Go to a scrappys and get a spare grill, my local scrappys have tons of 200's in with the grills still on.

you gonna smooth your bumpers freddie?! Seen a few on here I think BazR has one, looks good?!

 

Im mightily tempted to do it, just because the bumpers on there at the moment are far from perfect (scuff's, a few nasty dings and what not) and i really do want the car to look a bit tidier.

Im going to get a pair of spare bumpers, smooth em and then see if i like em, same rule applies as the debadged stuff, if i dont like it i'll just sell it on ebay xD
