I still haven't fitted these blasted front fog lamps......

Got the lamps, surrounds, switch and relay.

Does anyone know if it's feasible to transplant wiring from a car that had lamps as standard to one with no wiring? (i.e. mine....)

I have found a car in a scrapyard that was wired for fogs (connectors are behind the blanks, and a dash switch is present)

I've got wiring diagrams, but I'm not great on auto electrics......
Am I right in thinking that the dash switch only connects to earth, the relay, and into the sidelight feed? (And would I need a connector for the back of the switch?)
And do the lamps only connect to the relay and earth?
Where would I connect the switch/lamps to earth? - Would I need to locate an earthing point? (I think I have a list of them as well.....)

I know if you buy the Rover aftermarket kit you get a harness that connects everything differently, but I'm not in the mood to spend £150!!

Loads of questions, I know, but any help very welcome

Right....... According to Haynes

The switch wires run to the MFU (black/green), earth and relay (black/grey).
Yes you will need the connector for the OEM switch.
The lamps themselves are connected to the relay and MFU (blue/yellow)
There are plenty of earthing points around.

If you strip out the loom from the donor car you'll have everything you need and will also get a sense of where everything connects. Could always take some piccies for reference
