Freelander Mk1 driver seat problem

Got a nice 2001 LHD 3 door Freelander to bring to Spain.
Problem is the driver seat will not adjust enough to accommodate a fat 6 footer.
I'm told that this is a common problem
I presume someone out there has got a fix for this.
Please let me know.

As far as I'm aware there is no fix for this. There is a fix for this on the defenders, they might be able to be modified to fit the freelanders?

But I would think that you need longer rails to fix this, it could be worth looking at some of the other rover cars maybe they have the same/similar rails and may be longer?
