I am just about to fit Fog Lights to my TF 2003. I have fitted the lights but not the switch,relay or wiring loom. Do they check the fog lights on the MOT which is next week?

I heard they do, that you can't just fit 'dummy' lights. That's why i'm waiting to get the full kit intact before I fit them

I think you will be OK as they are not a legal requirement unlike the rear lights. I would not fit the bulbs so it’s quite obvious that they are not in working order and don’t fit the switch.

Front fog lights are not tested.

As I understand it...its only the rear of a car that the law requires a working fog light,and as such comes under the mot test.
So the fronts shouldnt matter.
