if you type P1e00 [note the exact letter and number size] into the search bar it will shed more light on your fault , general concensus is it,s a CAN BUS signal code , could be a pump or MAF problem by all accounts .

The car has no power issues, but has just started cutting out .when the snap on diagnostics is plugged in it reads P1e00 .when the engine cuts out the snap on reader says no communication,, can this be a immobiliser problem ? do you think that replacing the gear box ecu may help. Is the UBP possibly stopping and starting , is the pump noisy ,

Get it plugged in with a T4 and don't change anything yet

 

The pump is not noisy .the pump in the tank has been relaced yesterday as the AA diagnostics says its not an electrical fault ,the car has done 16200 with no issues. My own mechanic has a P1e00 fault code and when the car cuts out reads no communication . when it does start it runs as smooth as clockwork but totally cuts out and does not start for maybe ten minutes then starts with out any problems and no missing ???

 

Snap on and other scan tools are a waste of time get it on T4.

 

Thanks for your sales pitch keith but i need to get my rover fixed. Im sure that if all dianostic tools are a waiste of time then the trading standers would be interested .still pulling out my hair

Hi Mal, yep still lurking on the forums occasionally, just been keeping a low profile trying to find a better balance between cars and the 'other' jobs I need to get on with like some overdue decorating and weeding

However I needed to sort out a Pas fluid leak on the V8 yesterday and tweaked the handbrake for the Mot, my spigot mod means I have a rare thing for a 75/ZT- a decent handbrake!

We spent most of today clearing excess plants from the pond as even with a family of Morhens and several Ducks on it this year it was getting a bit choked.

 

t4 is needed ,that will sort the error out,
some codes cant be read by obd scanners,

Just put diagnostics on to gear box ecu and getting p1840 and p1605 disconnected maf and still the same codes . Thinking of changing gear box ecu ???? help please .
