The new car I'm looking at buying now has a Sony radio in it. It works fine but in my view doesn't fit the car properly.

As mentioned in the previous thread, all facelifts came with an Iovox or VDO. I assumed that the Sony was not a "proper" fit, but I was just looking at the Rimmer Bros site and they have Sony radios listed for the 75.

Anyone know why?

Are the connectors the same for the Sony i.e. will a VDO replacement just swap with the Sony?

I'll take a wild stab in the dark - Rimmer get Sony HUs at a good price? If it will fit then someone will sell them after all.

There are several alternative/upgrade headunits on the last MGR accessories brochure, some Sony ones among them.
