Was it a genuine OE cat or a pattern part?
If it was not a genuine OE cat then that is your problem. Common fault.
Engine Management Light Rover 45
I have a rover 45, 52 plate. The engine management light keeps coming on, I have had diagnostic tests done & was told it was one of the cat convertors, I have had them both changed, it did not come back on then while I was doing short journeys, after driving about 40 miles continuouslly it came back on, I took it back for another test & was told it could be one of the lando sensors, I have had 1 changed & again while doing short journeys it was ok, I did another journey of 40 miles over the weekend & the light has come on again, it is on permenatly, I am losing patience & money having all these things replaced, I was wondering if anyone has any ideas. Thanks

If it was not a genuine OE cat then that is your problem. Common fault.
MEMS3 is also fussy when it comes to Lambda sensors, certain cheap aftermarket sensors will not work.
What fault codes are present now?

Thanks for your help, the parts have been replaced at Mr tyre so I doubt they have used genuine parts, am having another test done at weekend & will find out what codes it throws out & let u know, thanks again.
my EML comes on every time I put petrol in and stays on for 8-10 starts then goes off , every time without fail.
