Hey I've noticed some people have had the same problem me, which is that they have completely rebuilt the head on their rover and replaced all of the seals, but when they get it running again, the oil leaks into all four cylinders and burns with the fuel.

Just thought that I'd let you know that if it's not obvious that it's the head gasket, another cause is the valve seals. Depending on the year your car was manufactured, you need a different size of seal. If you have the rover workshop manual there is actually a bullitten explaining this. Theres only a few mil in it but it makes all the difference. I hope this helps if theres any people out there who are scratching their heads like we were.
