i haven't experienced that yet Deano but I'm still bedding everything in. i have gotten the judder from the ABS which the GR hoses supposedly eliminate.

i usd to get it with my old mintex and standard discs, it felt as if the discs were slipping through the pads and shuddering.
Sounds like you were just about at the limit of the braking envelope.

Performed by professional drivers on closed roads, under supervision.
Don't try this at home kids.

Just popped in, as not a frequent .org person :(

Pete, may I be cheeky and say that your top wishbone looks very dry and no sign of grease at all. It is not on the MG-R service schedule, but this very old part (1959 era) needs a frequent supply of grease to stop wear.

If I'm wrong, please berate me when I pop up Saturday to join you on the mid Wales run :eyes:

you can be cheeky, but I won't berate you. I may have pressure washed the grease off, I wax oiled around there a few weeks ago, I also greased the wishbones a few months before that. A reminder of this often forgotten service item is never a bad idea.

Look forward to meeting you on Saturday :hyper:

That's alright then ;)

Deano i have shuddering and vibration on the brake pedal (more noticable at higher speeds) with ebc discs&pads all around even though i have ss goodridge hoses and the B&G brake servo bracket. It is very difficult to eliminate this vibration once you have ebcs, i think it will be less as the discs get older.

what grease do you guys use for the wishbone?
Basically any good quality grease. Ultimate quality not as important as regular and thorough greasing. It's surprising how much air and crud comes out when you apply a bit of pressure. Don't forget it is based on the original Mini arm which came out in 1959!! It needs TLC.

What you describe is not good, the symptoms you describe are typical of warped/ out of alignment discs. Try re-positioning the discs on different wheel studs, sometimes compensates for machining errors.
ABS judder is normal, a sign everything is working OK. Goodrich hose, with less pressure flex, will make this judder more noticeable. Nothing to worry about, just drive so the ABS doesn't work ;)

See that logo in your sig... The HCHDC one....

What is it doing there? :shake:
but I hate sitting in a wet seat. In my defence, I did stop to put it down when it had stopped raining. I actually feel cheated out of something if I have to put the hood up.
