Get a magnetic box and keep a spare sealed key fob battery in it and position it somewhere on your car, bit like people used to do with spare keys. A battery on it's own won't be any use to anyone.

As per my previous thread about some little scrote attempting to break into my car, i have finally changed the handle.



Hopefully this should deter the little gits at trying again!!

Probably not a wise idea to delock the tailgate too, imagine the fun it would cause if the car battery was flat on a frosty winters evening and the car was locked. :slap:

Problem with hiding a battery is it won't be there when you need it...it will fall off....sods law.

Think what I will probably do, is buy a new fob battery (will buy a new one today) every 6 months or so, just for piece of mind.

Ok, the battery will probably be fine after 6 months, but I'm not going to take the risk!!

i think they should make something so you can recharge the dam things, you'd never have to worry about the battery ever again then

 

Just tape it behind the center cap of the wheel in a little plastic self sealing bag...sombody i know does it that way. no good if u need an alan key or similar to get the center caps off
