dodgy traffic master clocks

Can any one help, I have a 25 and Streetwise both post 04 facelift models, last Monday the 25 digital clock started to lose some pixels and the very next day the Streetwise done the same, I have found out that a replacement clock cost 174 pounds, does anyone know if the pixels can be repaired or any other way to bring them back to life. If they cant be repaired does a pre facelift clock fit in the post facelift car, I believe the traffic master clock has a 8 plug in connector. Any help would be appreciated.

Can't help you with any potential different types. I thought they were all the same or standard.
Try your local scrapyards first before splashing any cash.
One trick you can try is to disconnect the car battery for 20 mins to reset the Traffic Master unit.

I.
Just a thought, can you upload a picture of your clocks?

Traffic Master clocks should be the 4 pin connector not the 8. Take it out and have a look. If it is a 4 pin then any clock from a 25 or ZR will fit (unless you find one of the very early models fitted with an 8 pin clock).
They're known for being crap, avoid at all costs.
