I'm glad someone's started this thread.

I noticed only yesterday that mine was creaking,although mine sounds more like it's coming from the window section.

I sorted the door card rattle out,now this has started.

I love my car (!).

Sillicone spray, sillicone spray everything!

In all seriousness I have sprayed my hood hinges, sun visor hinges and most of the hinges on the roof, its SILENT.

I even sillicone sprayed my front door latch as it was sticking, and also some of my cuboards runners as they were jamming. Now they move freely and with ease!

Sillcone spray has replaced WD40 as my miracle spray.

Wont go anywhere near my brakes with it though for obvious reasons...

It's quite good for slow retracting seat belts too

 

The strange shaped rubber end caps at the top end of the door trims squeak against the rear trim on mine...really annoying. I occasionally give the door trim a thump to move it forward and stop it rubbing.

 

Ours do this too...tempted to remove them.

 

Yup. My car rattles, creaks and squeaks all over the place. I find '30' on the stereo solves them all for free.

 

WD40 will eventually dry. It is primarily a water dispersant. Silicone spray however does not dry. Well, not for a bloody long time.
I used to be a locksmith and used silicon spray all the time.
My roof creaks a little and I've got tonnes of silicone spray, yet I've never thought to spray the roof mechanism......... Derrrrrrr.

By dry does he mean disappear?

 

Wd40 disappears and dries out. What I mean is silicone spray will lubricate whatever you've sprayed for a good long while. I used the term 'doesn't dry' meaning it does its job for a while. It shouldn't dry really as then it wouldn't lube what you've sprayed.
The silicone spray I have and use does not dry.
