Oh that is a shame. Certainly wont be going far without a clutch.

I am assuming you also have a coil pack issue. An MSD upgrade will work wonders for the performance. If you struggle to find one for the Rover I would suggest grabbing one for a Mitsubishi Evo and swapping out the harness. Even doable for converting 4 coil packs over to wasted spark with the same MSD coil ;)
