Hiya,

Probably an easy question, have suspiscions about the clutch. Quite often I get juddering in first pulling away but not all the time, and sometimes even when I give it more boot. But sometimes when I'm also building up speed through perhaps second, I get what sounds/feels like a bit a gurgle-juddery type thing, coming thorugh the pedals... almost sounds like the exhaust, but nowhere near as severe as the judder in first.

Ideas?

Could be a clutch problem, ie oil contamination either from engine or gearbox, or could be engine mount/mounts gone soft.
I have judder in 1st but only sometimes. I suspect the mounts in my case.

Clutches either slip (worn out or bad oil contamination) or judder (light oil contamination or a warped plate) A judder as you change between 1st & 2nd could be because the clutch is slipping like you do to get moving in 1st and what you feel is the oil /warped plate bitting unevenly. Once slip stops it all feels fine.

Either way, I'm afraid the only fix is a new clutch plate (& to inspect the old un to figure out why it failed.)
