Morning Dudes,

Just been reading this months TG mag & it says Clarkson has been testing the MG ZT V8 on their track & it will be included in the new series starting May 9th.......

For those that have the mag its on page 161.

Wonder what he'll say!

I wonder if they've given Clarkson the ZT-260 or the yet-to-be-released ZT-385?

After all, if the 385 is going to be at the NEC in a few weeks time, why not give J.C. the really big boys toy?

And whilst MG-Rover are at it, give him a SV-R as well, so they can give it a proper blast round the track and get a decent time :)

Well lets hope that MG-R do not shoot themselves in the foot again and knowingly supply a car with a faulty gearbox (like they did with the SV) or anything else thats broken or hanging off :yikes:
I was under the impression that the SV was fine until the Top Gear drivers got hold of it. They are well known for breaking the cars they test. At least the SV was able to be driven away afterwards. A lot of the other stuff has to be trailered, they are so damaged.

I thought he was quite nice to it :)

I couldnt help thinking.. now if i had 75k burning i whole in my back pocket, i would buy a C4S.

I do love the SV, i cant wait to see it on the road, it must have an amazing presence.

They should have priced it lower (probably not possible), just so there wasnt an "ohh look honey for the same money i could have Porsche"

Im well pleased they have a waiting list though, it feels like MG are now part of an exclusive club, where potential buyers have to put their name on a list... and wait :)

No idea, probably straight off the top of some journalist's head.

To be honest, the only problem the SV really has is that even at ÂŁ65k it seems a little overpriced for what it is. Sure, if I had ÂŁ65k lying around I'd buy one, but then I'm an MG-R enthusiast. MG can't just sell cars to enthusiasts, they need to attract new customers to the brand in order for it to grow. The SV gave quite a good account of itself on TG, if it had been priced a bit lower, they wouldn't have been comparing it with cars like the Porsche and the M3.
