Just wondering, but there is only power to the cigarette lighter in my 400 when the ignition is on, is there anyway to have power to the lighter without having to have the key in the ignition, would it take much rewiring, its just i dont fancy having my car knicked if i want to charge my phone when im out!

cig lighter

cut the wire behind the cig lighter,the one which goes to the centre,but leave enough wire to join another length of wire to.make sure you isolate the other end which you cut off,or it will be live when ignition is on.then thread thw wire towards the fuse box,get a meter and find which terminal on the fuse box is live ign trun off.and join on to that one.it would be a good idea the put an inline fuse to protect the circuit.
