My TF has a positive ground battery connection.
If I wish to trickle charge the battery, do I still attach the red clips of the trickle charger to the positive terminal and the black clip to the negative post?

Hello John,
My guess is you have a ‘proper’ 1950’s TF, rather than out ‘modern‘ ones.
Yes, charger connections go on like for like, so red lead of charger goes to positive ( earth) battery terminal, and the black lead to the negative terminal - assuming we are indeed talking 1950s TF.
Kind regards,
Austin.

Thank you. In keeping of not making an expensive mistake,
I simply disconnected the car's battery wires and connected the charger
wires to the disconnected battery red to + and black to -
