Central locking unit advice needed ?

I Have a mgzr 2004 face lift , and the central locking unit has gone faulty, I orderd a 5 door unit from a breaker on ebay and the lead was not long enough so they took it back and sent one with a longer lead , the only problem is that the lead on this unit says 3 door and my car is a 5 door , is the 3 and 5 door unit the same ? want to be sure before i take my door to bits to fit new unit ?
