anyone ???
so it could be nothingWhen I was at the car factory the operator had a stamp that he (or she)would mark the job sheet . They would also mark the part they had fitted with their number. Thus any errors could be traced back at final inspection.
im hoping its nothing to worry about and its just rover .
the car has a lacquer line when you push the trim back aswell but thats just rovers bad paint i think as its picking off also.
its like a golden.yellow written 26 so i hope its just factory marking and nothing been damaged in the past .well all the bigger parts i've got from the scrapyard were marked with some kind of baby poop pen (never comes off... sticks like s*** to a blanket)
but on both my cars, the inside of the bumpers have had writing in them, and the MG was perfectly straight when i got it... no signs of ever being hit.
so could just be normal.
why you worrying so much, if its being replaced, woop money not out your pocket lol, my gearbox had some yellow numbers on as so did my driveshafts and suspension strutsits like a golden.yellow written 26 so i hope its just factory marking and nothing been damaged in the past .
think it might be the cross member or suspentions arms . with the writing on it.
will have a proper look and see but i think its fine as the car has full service history.
The shells are painted bare, but sometimes you will have a panel with sub standard paint, Then the body would be masked up to respray the sub standard panel.it shouldnt have a line, the shells from the factory should be painted bare, i doubt they would mask everything up.
also if its peeling that could (most probably) be down to bad prep work.
