hi all, my rover 220gti started fine, and ran fine, until the other day when it cut out, ans then would not start again.

thats it, its dead!, I got a cough and splutter from it but then it conked again, it seemed as if the engine had flooded as well,

so if anyone can help, with any ideas, a few people when i asked for help the other day seemed to think it might be the crankshaft sensor?. but I cant find the damn thing on the engine, its a T series,,,

As above - check for fuel and spark. If it has coughed - but not started - I'd guess that it isn't something nasty like a snapped belt.

hi yep belts are all fine, its verys strange the way it just cut out. it then struggled to start, revved it up then it died when the revs dropped, then it coughed a bit when I tried again, then nothing,

it has run perfectly fine upto then.

ive just got to try and locate this crankshaft sensor, how is it fitted?.
