caliper help please

hi seems that the rear caliper on my 200 vi is buggerd, seems to have seized as my hand brake is crud, but after looking at it i could see that on one side the spring mechanism wasn't working right it wasn't coming all the way back to the stop when the hand brake was down to take up all the slack, so after removing the spring and pitting more tension on it it seemed to be coming all the way back, but still the hand brake was crap, so i adjusted it inside the car until i had a decent handbrake that would hold the car, evan though there still was way to much travel on the hand brake and it comes up high, but now after driving the car one side (the good side that was working right) is now binding, so it looks like i need to replace the bad caliper, so where can i get source some, and are there any upgraded options i can look at, e.g a 600 TI set up? what size disks would i need etc?

I wouldn't upgrade the rear brakes, unless you do the fronts too, otherwise you'll have too much braking power at the back.
calipers aren't too bad from motor factors, and you might get discount if you give them the old caliper back to be refurbished. so little weight over the back of the vi anyway don't know if it's worth upgrading rear brakes.
Don't bother upgrading the rears, you will never notice the difference. If you can leave the car off the road for about a week, you can have the caliper rebuilt for a great price at http://www.biggred.co.uk/. They turned my set around in 24 hours, they came back looking new.

thanks for that link, might consider doing that if i cant find and, cant really afford to have hte car of the road though
Might be worth having a look on ebay. I got a pair of refurbed calipers for £28, all new pistons, seals, nipples, caliper bodies shot blasted. Look and work like new, bargain. I was even able to pick up from stafford so no postage costs.

Was browsing ebay and noticed these,

I got a set of calipers from this guy earlier this year and they are excellent.

Hope this is of use to you.
