Anybody else think that something's a bit strange when the DTI effectively force MG Rover into administration on the same day that the pope gets buried and a day before Prince Charles gets married?

Read between the lines of your own question to discover the answer.... ;)

Nothing strange at all ... perfect timing of a major bad news release ... nothing new there. Crafty gits been doing things like this since **** Sapiens first emerged from the primordial.... Coincidence? ... on a long hook!...:)

If you were a devious politician with bad news to release, you'd time that release to coincide with other heavy newsworthy items such as a Royal Wedding and the Death of a Pope to dissapate some of the attention that would be wholly concentrated and rightly focussed on one single VERY newsworthy issue.... like the demise of the last major volume car producer in the former once Great, Green and Pleasant....

Without the Golf, Royal Wedding, Grand National, Papal Death to share allotted premium news time, imagine what effect a totally focussed media would have on the Government following the Demise of MG-R if that was the SINGLE newsworthy topic of the moment.
