My dad's ZS180 has a huge crack on the lower front spoiler section (the extra bit below the bumper.)

It's obviously been hit by a stone at speed which has made a big chip and also a crack horizontally, approximately 3-4 inches in length from the chip on both sides.

Is there any way this can be repaired? Is it possible to a) fill the crack and chip with some kind of special filler, b) replace the plastic section (without changing the whole bumper) or c) simply remove the piece altogether without making the car look stupid?

What I would do - not being a plastic weld/refinish expert is:

1. Stop the crack form spreading by drilling a small hole just at the end of the crack.

2. Get some aluminium/stainless sheet on the inside and reinforce using epoxy.

3.If that does not work, also fit nice sexy metal plate on the outside, held on with stainless steel bolts - get them from www.screfix.com or www.a2a4.co.uk

4. FAiling that pay someone to weld it or buy another.
