We all know about the MG ZT Estate holding the Worlds fastest Station Wagon record from Bonneville Speed Week 2003 - 225.609 mph.

But did you know that at Bonneville Speed Week this year a British company - JCB - will attempt the land speed record for diesel power in excess of 235.756mph!

Or that another British team will be attempting the Land speed record for steam power, aiming at over 200mph. (Not sure when they are attempting it)

Designed by Richard Noble and piloted by Andy Green too, so has fantastic pedigree and joins the two Thrust cars as another fantastic example of BRITISH engineering and manufacturing.

I notice Ricardo are involved with this project too, is there any possibility that JCB have involvement with SAIC with regards to diesel engines and such.
