You will have 262mm VENTED disks on the ZS120.

 

Why? The brakes on the 180 need more pedal pressure. Certainly there is a little more stopping power but unless you need to put the effort in to get them to bite. Anyway F****** expensive is the cost.

 

The standard brakes on my ZS 120 are superb. For what is after all an ordinary production car they are more than up to the job. Maybe you are thinking of some track days where freqent repeated braking from higher speeds will soon show the limitations on ANY car's bog standard brake set up.

Why do you want to 'upgrade' yours. Maybe purely cosmetic reasons ... slotted discs look cool aparently. I have good quality (Tarox?) slotted discs all round on my TomCat Turbo which look very nice but were costly. I can detect no difference, let alone improvement in the braking of my car than with the originals.

Several folks have commented that when fitting slotted AND x-drilled discs to their cars, they have frequently cracked within a few thousand miles. They report that slotted only discs are much less prone to cracking so x-drilled ones may look nice, cool even... but, for this cracking reason, you won't find one on my cars.

 

For a road car stick with grooved discs, as mentioned before X-Drilled discs are prone to cracking.
